Instructions
Chop up potatoes and onion.
Boil potatoes on high until soft, about 15 minutes.
Meanwhile, cook beef, onion, minced garlic and salt and pepper in a skillet on med-high until beef is no longer pink, about 10 minutes.
Add flour, beef broth, and Worcestershire sauce to skillet. Simmer on med-low for about 5 minutes.
Drain potatoes. Add heavy whipping cream, butter, salt and pepper to pot. Mash with either a hand-masher or electric blender.
Take the iron skillet off the heat and add the peas and carrots. Mix together.
Spread the beef and veggie mixture in an even layer in a cast iron skillet, then add the mashed potatoes on top.
Broil for 2-3 minutes using the top rack in the oven.
