If you can’t tell by now, I love Asian cuisine! Anything that is served with rice is welcome in my kitchen. This sesame chicken is sweet combined with a little spice, resulting in an amazing flavor. And as an added bonus, this recipe is super easy; dump everything in the crock-pot in the afternoon and let it simmer till dinnertime!
The list of ingredients is a little bit longer for this recipe, but they are all pretty common items.
First, chop up half an onion. Then, cut your chicken into 2 inch pieces, I usually do this with kitchen shears. Toss the chicken into the crock-pot.
Now, mix all your ingredients (except the water, cornstarch and sesame seeds) in a large bowl. Pour the mixture into the crock-pot, covering the chicken.
Let that baby cook on Low for about 4 hours. Then, mix together the water and cornstarch in a cup. Pour that into the crock-pot and cook for about 15 minutes more, until the sauce thickens a bit.
Serve over rice, and don’t forget the sesame seeds!
