I love Chinese food! But sometimes I just don’t feel like getting take out. This recipe will make you rethink calling that Chinese restaurant down the street. Get ready for better than take out beef and broccoli!

This recipe is good for four typical portions. If you want leftovers or feel like you might want seconds, I would recommend doubling the ingredients.
Gather your ingredients first. If you make a lot of Asian cuisine, you might have most of the ingredients already.

Chop up your broccoli into small florets. I usually use two heads because I love broccoli, but you can just easily use one.

Then get your wok out, or large skillet and start cooking the beef. I buy stir fry beef already sliced into strips, but you can also buy thin steak and slice it yourself.

While that is cooking, mix together the rest of the ingredients in a bowl.

After the beef is browned on both sides, add the sauce mixture to the wok and cook, stirring for 3-4 minutes. Then throw the broccoli in, too.

Cook together, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens and broccoli is soft, about 8- 10 minutes. Then remove from heat.

And that’s it! Serve with some rice and you’ve got better than take out beef and broccoli!
